October was Domestic Violence Awareness Month, a time we focused on providing education and outreach about domestic violence and our services. However, we believe it’s important to take more than just one month a year to do that. So, this month’s article is about defining what exactly domestic violence is. We often hear “it can’t be domestic violence…they didn’t hit me”. “It’s not domestic violence…we’re married, and he/she just likes to know where I am at all times and give me an allowance”.
