We’re coming to the end of April and Sexual Assault Awareness month. This last email we’re going to focus on teens and sexual assault and sexual abuse. I know – two things we never want to hear in the same sentence. However, it’s happening. Prom is here for many teens – many of us parents will have long conversations with our kids before they go and spend a sleepless night waiting up for them hoping they make the right choices. We’ll wonder did we talk about everything we needed to – did we talk about not drinking and driving and not feeling pressure to do anything they don’t want. Did we talk about sexual abuse/assault? Conversations we didn’t think we’d have to have.
