Hello everyone –
May is MMIW or MMIP month – missing and murdered indigenous women and or peoples month. Did you know that “Oklahoma ranks 10th in the nation for missing and murdered Indigenous people”? Also, that “there are nearly 23,000 people reported missing from tribal lands, and 700 currently reported missing from Oklahoma, according to the National Missing and Unidentified Persons System”?
Please take 2 minutes and watch this video about MMIW/MMIP in our state – this isn’t an issue happening elsewhere – it’s happening in our state and in our town.
