Haven FYI – Friday August 25, 2023

Hello everyone –

This week our FYI email focuses on Youth Violence. Often when we think of violence we think of adults – however youth violence is real. As reported by the CDC,

“Youth violence is the intentional use of physical force or power to threaten or harm others by young people ages 10-24. It can include fighting, bullying [other youth and even their parents], threats with weapons, and gang-related violence. A young person can be involved with youth violence as a victim, offender, or witness”.

Please take two minutes and watch this quick video – let’s learn together and help prevent youth violence. (more on youth violence can be found at https://www.cdc.gov/violenceprevention/youthviolence/index.html)
