Does God Really Want Survivors to Stay with Abusers?
Can you imagine suffering abuse and feeling as if there is no hope because God himself sanctifies the abuse? All too often the church has failed Christian wives with the misuse of scripture, enabling abusers to maintain power and control. A strong statement, and possibly offensive to some, but as a member of the faith community I believe it is important that we recognize that there are survivors sitting in our pews each Sunday.
God’s design for marriage does not include abuse.
