This week’s FYI is about Economic abuse. “Domestic abuse isn’t just physical violence, it can take many forms, including economic abuse. Abusers may restrict, exploit and sabotage their partner’s access to money and other resources, such as food, clothing, transportation and a place to live. This is economic abuse, and it is designed to limit someone’s freedom. Learn more in this video and find out about economic abuse”.

Economic abuse is often very difficult for victims to see as abuse, many see it as “protective” or “just the way things are”.
