Hello everyone –
The weather has turned…we’re all facing the stress of the pandemic…we’re asked to be in our homes isolating again. Please remember…home isn’t always a safe place for everyone.
The pandemic isn’t over, being asked to “stay home as much as we can” isn’t over and either is the dramatic rise in domestic violence. Please take two minutes and watch this video below. Though the video is based in Canada…the story is the same…COVID 19 and the rise of domestic violence isn’t confined by a U.S. Canadian border.
Many see it as a choice between violence against women or COVID 19….which one do I self-isolate from?
Let’s make sure women in our community know the options…feel our support…and understand that they are NOT ALONE! If you see something…SAY SOMETHING. Haven advocates are always here to listen and help walk you through the next steps.
